Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer.com. Today we have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the B and W above-bed rails. These rails are gonna allow you to mount up your industry-standard fifth wheel, it'll drop right into one of these three sets of holes. So if you're dropping into the outer hole, you're also gonna be using the outer hole on the other side. These holes is what, are what's gonna make it an industry-standard rail because these measurements, or the spacing in between 'em is going to be the industry standard. The B and W Patriot that we're using today, for example, is going to use the outer holes, because it needs the stability from the outer holes in order to accomplish the weight capacity that it has. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rail Kit with custom installation kit for fifth wheels on the 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. The Demco Base Rails are gonna be a great addition to any truck that requires a fifth wheel or if you're having some adventures coming along where you need that fifth wheel. Having base rails means that you can drop in just about any brand. These follow an ISR standard, which is gonna be the basic spacing to be able to drop a base of a fifth wheel in. And kind of the great thing about these is you can still remove your fifth wheel from the bed and that way when you still need to use a truck for truck things, you really don't take up a whole lot of space here. You just have a little bit of raising here on the bed, just where the rails are. more

B and W Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the B&W Above Bed Rails. If you're used to that traditional style of fifth wheel attachment, that's gonna be these industry standard rails. And by industry standard we mean that the distance between the three sets of holes is going to be an industry standard, so it's going to fit a lot of different fifth wheel heads out there, our fifth wheel hitches out there, so if you already have a fifth wheel hitch, or if you're looking at fifth wheel hitches, most likely it's going to fit into these rails. Another point I'd like to make is if you like that way of attachment or if for some reason you have a Reese Sidewinder on the front of your camper, you are gonna have to have industry standard rails because of the way that they attach, it's much stronger than a lot of other attachment points. With these rails, you can also get adapter plates for goosenecks if you want to be able to haul gooseneck trailers but you can't decide between a gooseneck hitch and rails like this to be able to haul a fifth wheel trailer, you don't have to decide. more

These rails are going to fit any industry standard 5th wheel head. There's three different distances between the holes. You have the closest, the middle, and then the furthest most outset. So depending on what your industry standard 5th wheel head, or 5th wheel hitch, whatever size holes they fit, as long as it's industry standard, it'll fit these rails. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rail Kit with custom installation kit on a 2017 Ford F-150. Now this kit is gonna give you the rails for your bed which is gonna allow you to drop in your fifth wheel hitch. And something I'll point out is on a short truck like this, you are gonna want to get something that slides, that way you have clearance and the rails on this short bed truck are pretty far forward, but having the ability to hook up to your fifth wheel camper or trailer is a really nice option. So make sure you're choosing something that has that sliding ability to make sure that it can tow properly. And this rail system's really nice because if you ever need to have your truck bed usable to load it up, you can take your fifth wheel out of the rails and it's really not taking up much space. It's slightly raised, maybe just about three inches or so, but overall you still have all the use of your bed. more

The rails are gonna make it to where you can drop in a number of different manufacturer fifth wheels because it is an ISR standard rating, meaning that it uses pretty much uniform matching up to your fifth wheel. So just make sure it follows into that normal standardization, and you're gonna be able to drop this in. So whether you're using the sliding, like today we have our CURT R20, which is really nice, it's got the carbide black that matches the rails, which is kinda cool. more

This kit's gonna allow you to have industry standard rails in your bed. That way you can drop in your fifth wheel head and hit the road. Installation's pretty easy overall because these are universal. The brackets underneath the truck are actually custom fit so there's no real drilling except for the holes to pass the carriage bolts down. The rest of it uses just normal holes and hardware in the frame already and then we just kind of bolt it all together. more

Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2010 Ford F-250- Video
Hey, guys. Kevin here with etrailer. And today, we'll be showing you how to install the CURT custom fifth wheel base rail kit here on our 2010 Ford F-250. Our base rails here are gonna have a nice carbide finish on it, which is gonna go nicely with another CURT hitch, just like our CrossWing that we have in here today. The brackets themselves are gonna come with all the hardware you need and are a custom fit for this specific year, make, and model. So it gives you a little bit easier of an install versus a universal kit where you'd have to sit there and really drill a bunch of holes into the frame. more

Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hi there, Chevy owners. Today, on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's base rails. And this is what our base rails look like when they're installed. You can see that they sit above the bed, but they really don't stick up very high, about an inch above the top part of your higher corrugation there. And they are fairly smooth, so I do prefer base rails that are like this where all the bolts are carriage bolts and they're down in the lower section. That way, things are still smooth on top here. more

Demco Recon Underbed 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt under-bed gooseneck kit with the ability to use the demco recon for fifth wheel adapter on a 2013 F250 Super Duty. Now, it has all the same features of your normal gooseneck kit, but if you pick up the Demco Recon and plan on doing a gooseneck or a fifth wheel, you're gonna have that adapter and be able to hook up to both of them. Great part about this kit is it does actually come with the ball included so you'll be ready to use your gooseneck right away without having to pick up that recon. Now, this gooseneck kit is rated at 30000 pounds and it's got a vertical limit of 7500, so this is gonna be pretty heavy duty. So, whatever you're be pulling with your gooseneck this should hold up to it. Now, you're gonna wanna check to see what your vehicle's capable before just hooking up to anything. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the B&W underbed gooseneck kit for a fifth wheel companion on a 2022 Ram 2500 with the OEM prep package. And the great part about this kit is the fact that it does come with the ball, so when you need it to be a gooseneck, no problem, the ball goes into place. And when you're not using that or the fifth wheel, no problem, store it upside down and it's gonna stay there completely flush and you'll have it ready for next time. But if you plan on using a fifth wheel, you can actually plug in the Companion fifth wheel from B&W in here and you'll have a fifth wheel. So, you have a lot of versatility. more

Hi there, Ford owners. Today, on your 2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install B&W's base rail kit. We've got our B&W Patriot sitting in our rail here. But this base rail should work with all the major manufacturers out there. Whether you've got a CURT, Demco, or other brand, or your Reese, you should be able to still use these rails with those hitches. Now, I do recommend using a B&W one with it just cause you're probably gonna get the best fit and finish with the B&W matching to its rails. more

With rail kits, there's really not a whole lot of huge differences between them. They're all gonna give you your attachment point to place your 5th wheel in place. They all have a fairly standard spacing size for the attachments. So that way it should work with pretty much any type of 5th wheel that you're planning on installing in here. more

So, your frame brackets and everything else, that'll make it a custom-fit kit to your Ram. But before we do that, why don't we go ahead and just check it out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So, when it comes to a fifth wheel rail kit, I mean, there's really not much to it, right It's a couple of rails and some side plates that bolt to your frame that gives you a mounting point for a fifth wheel hitch. These particular rails, they kinda have that standard pattern or the standard openings there, so just about any fifth wheel hitch is gonna drop in and work with these, as long as it's relatively modern. more
